Why choose us…
Planning for the future can feel overwhelming, but it doesn't have to.
My path to estate planning began with a commitment to public service—from working in D.C. to helping New Orleans rebuild after Katrina. After years of navigating high-stakes federal court cases and insurance battles, I realized that the traditional legal model often overlooks the very people who really need it to preserve a lifetime of hard work.
I founded this firm to change that, moving away from impersonal bureaucracy to offer the same honest, straightforward advice I would give my own sister.
Growing up in Missoula in a family dedicated to hospice and eldercare (which is how my parents met my godparents!), I learned early on that true advocacy is about respecting a family’s history while helping them find the right answers for them with dignity and grace.
I believe you deserve a counselor who speaks your language, not "legalese." I’m not a fan of those long-winded commercials that tell you to ask a doctor before taking a walk; I prefer clear, human conversations. That’s why we’ve traded hourly billing for transparent flat fees, so you can ask questions without worrying about the clock.
My goal is to help you navigate the complexities of wills and trusts to keep your family out of court and out of conflict. Together, we’ll create a plan that isn't just a set of documents, but a practical legacy of love and ease for the people you care about most.
About Claire
Claire Trimble graduated from Hellgate High School and has a degree in Political Science from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, where she met her husband, Ray (they married much later!).
She was the Editor in Chief of the International and Comparative Law Journal at Tulane University in New Orleans. Between classes she volunteered for rebuilding projects with Habitat for Humanity and First Presbyterian Church’s famous pumpkin patch benefitting their homeless outreach program.
After law school she joined a small class action firm helping win multi-million dollar lawsuits on behalf of homeowners defrauded by insurance companies.
Claire has served in government roles at the federal, state and local levels. She started seven years with the federal courts in the Eastern District of Louisiana and moved to Portland to work in the District of Oregon where she oversaw all areas of courtroom service from foreign language interpretation, court reporters, jury pools to courtroom deputies. Her son Clifford was born in Portland, Oregon.
After moving back home to Missoula, Mayor Jordan Hess appointed her City Clerk where she serves as liaison to the city council. Claire began her boutique estate planning firm in 2025 after years of seeing a need for real families to get solid legal help to preserve hard-earned assets and protect their families’ future.
When not serving clients or wrangling council members, Claire can be seen cruising around town on her e-bike with her daughter Ivy, volunteering as trail crew for the Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation or hanging with her backyard chickens in the Orchard Homes neighborhood.
